Final Garment

During taking the photos of the final garmen,I have chosen the place with red brick as the background as it can strongly present feeling of Tang chinese dynasty.And the model try to do differnt movement showing the cutting and the shape of the dress.Finally , i use the apps to fix the tone and the colour of the pictures in both warm and cold colour to bring out different feeling of the dress.

Last part of the research

Finally, finish all the research part, this two page I sketch down all the favorite research like the blue and white porcelain, architecture, dragon, mixed media fashion. Research for the garment is really interesting and I also learned a lot during the progress of doing the sketchbook.When I look through the internet, book and sketch down the idea, every time I have got more inspiration for designing the fall garment.So,the next step that I need to do is start to sketch my design for the garment!

Paper cutting

Paper cutting is one of the traditional in old Dynasty China,so I should try to use paper cutting to cut out the pattern haha,but I am not good at cutting papr,so the shape of the butterfly and fish still need to imrove !

Product design-Embroidered Bai-Product Research

I Search this product on the book of Arts and crafts of China, although it is the fashion design, the pattern on it is really pretty, the Butterfly and flower design in twisted satin stitch with black cotton piping and silk brocade banding sapping.I really hope to use this skill into my deisgn as well ;((

Product research1-Blue and white poreclain fahsion

Wow, after looking at the design of Roberto Cavalli, the design really attracted me a lot as using blue and white porcelain to design clothes is an interesting idea, so I cut the paper that has the similar pattern on it and combined them together to make a small design as well :))

Fabric research-silk

Yeah finally I got some fabric demo from the internet of e -bay, that fabric all have a different kind of pattern on it like the research on the front page. Silk is the best fabric for my research as it has a lightweight and comfortable to wear,also it will make the whole design to be more elegant .

Project Proposal

In this few weeks, I start to do the primary and secondary research part. In the primary research, I have to go to the internet and library to search for the information about the culture of China to get more inspiration about what I am going to do, after combining the photos and sketch, I finally decided to design Tang Dynasty fashion as it is really colorful and gorgeous.IN the secondary research, I have found the artists who design Tang Dynasty like Cheung minhua and Chuyan, after getting more information from their design, I started to do the initial design, and go to search for the fabric that suitable for my design, comparing the detail, pattern, cost of them.
